Unique Ways To Avoid An Animal Attack

March 2, 2016

Everyone is afraid of animal attacks. You may be an animal lover, but it can be quite scary if your dog or other animal turns on you when you least expect it. People experience animal tax from dogs most of the time, because humans like to own dogs and they are plenty of them in the area when you simply walk down the block. We can talk about various ways on how to avoid animal attacks, but most of this is common knowledge. That’s why it’s important for us to explore some more unique ways that will help you stay safe and prevent any animal attacks in the future.

Let’s take a look at some of the more secure ways that you can avoid animal attacks to protect you and your family.

Read Up On Different Breeds

Different types of dog breeds are more prone to attack than others. Instead of assuming a dog breed is more dangerous than others, why not actually do your research and figure out the breeds that are worth avoiding. For example, pit bulls get a bad rap because they are often abused and scared of humans. This doesn’t necessarily mean that old of the most dangerous dogs in the world. They are actually quite friendly and some of the easier dogs to train. You should figure out what types of dogs are dangerous so you can keep your distance when you actually locate them. It’s really not that hard to want to the other side of the street if you see a dog walking on the sidewalk. The only thing you need to know is how to identify them as a dangerous breed.

Carry Treats On You

This trick doesn’t always work, but some dogs are more likely to treat you with respect if you give them a reward. If they know that you have some treats on you and behaving well will get them a treat then you can avoid animal attacks from dogs who might be simply protecting their owners. Keep a few treats on you at all times and if a dog seems like it’s about to attack simply throw them a treat and see how they respond. Even if a dog seems as if they are not going to retreat then you can distract them with these treats.

Create a Map of Where Potentially Dangerous Animals Are Located

Instead of taking a chance with dangerous dogs in your neighborhood, you should develop a map that outlines exactly where these dangerous animals are located. Give this to your children and other loved ones so that they can avoid these locations in the future. You can’t always keep an eye on your children when they are playing around the neighborhood or walking to school, so giving them a guide helps you maintain a piece of mind and keeps them out of danger.
