Daniel Willis grew up just outside of Wichita Falls, Texas and has kept moving further south ever since. Mr. Willis graduated from Holliday High School, where he was Valedictorian and Texas Cross Country State Champion. Mr. Willis received a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from Dallas Baptist University in 2001. Planning on becoming a minister, Mr. Willis then attended Dallas Theological Seminary, where he was the recipient of the prestigious Presidential Scholarship. While respecting the call that many receive to go into ministry, Mr. Willis realized that he had another calling; helping people through the practice of law. Mr. Willis went on to attend Baylor University School of Law, where he was a member of the Baylor Law Review. While in law school, Mr. Willis participated in moot court, mock trial, and various intramural sports. Before joining the Begum Law Group, Mr. Willis worked as a lawyer for one of the fastest-growing insurance companies in Texas. Mr. Willis has tried cases in Dallas County, Tarrant County, Ector County, Hidalgo County, and Cameron County. He has handled depositions, mediations, and hearings across the state of Texas. As a former insurance defense attorney, Mr. Willis knows the tactics insurance companies use to avoid paying claims and can help you fight against them. Mr. Willis now resides in Brownsville, Texas with his black Labrador Retriever, Ace. In his free time, Mr. Willis enjoys watching and playing sports, reading, and going to the beach. He also enjoys serving as a judge for the Region I High School Mock Trial Competition. |
