Experience
Alexander Begum is a founding shareholder in the Brownsville and McAllen offices of Begum, Tijerina & Willis L.L.C. Practicing in the firm's Litigation Department, Mr. Begum is experienced in general litigation matters including matters for personal injury claims, corporate litigation, and some liability defense. In addition, Mr. Begum has handled various mediations, arbitrations, and trials in insurance, employment, construction, banking and commercial contract law. Mr. Begum is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Districts of Texas.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Begum spent various years as a financial advisor to various hedge and mutual fund companies.

Mr. Begum is a graduate and undergraduate adjunct professor at The University of Texas at Brownsville and lectures on various commercial, real property, torts, and criminal law issues.

Professional Activities and Memberships
Mr. Begum is a member of the Cameron County, American Bar Associations and the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Begum is particularly interested in the area of pro-bono legal services for low income communities.
